Sarvavidya Dance Ensemble’s Bhūmi strikes fear – of the catalytic kind – into its audience’s hearts
...
Here at Niek Speaks, we believe in genuine connection. But is that possible in today’s marketing-saturated world?
We think so.
“Good South Africans don’t go naked”
We must admit, we laughed when we saw Budget’s latest billboard, which is clearly poking fun at Naked Insurance. But that’s all we did. It got us thinking… Does anyone ever choose a service provider because of a billboard? Or is it a wasted space that feigns real marketing value?
Never mind that this stab at Naked is atypically below the belt for South African advertising standards. It reminds us of American smear campaigns and their ads like this one Trump aired in 2016.
But hey, it’s funny, right?
Good South Africans crave connection
Why use billboards when these days there are so many wonderful, affordable options for getting your business’s message out into the world?
A brand is worthless if it doesn’t connect with the right audience in a relevant way.
We believe that most consumers want to connect with the brand they support. They want to feel good about using them. A way to achieve this is through thought-out, well-made content that conveys your company’s story – and why the consumer is a part of that story.
If people like you, they will listen to you, but if they trust you, they’ll do business with you.

PS Here are some clever billboards even we have to admit are pretty cool.
